This is a small town cafe, the husband and wife who run it speak both English and French fluently, and both took the time to speak with us and were very friendly. I thought the omelette had a substantial amount of vegetables in it and was pleased with how it was done. I chose to go with the Silver Cafe Omelette with rye toast, and was grateful that when the waitress asked, the cook was able to still make it this late in the day. Top points for the fresh cut french fries which we both enjoyed very much. My partner was actually impressed with the fish that was a better quality than expected. The menu is pretty basic as well and my partner chose to go with the fish and chips. The interior of the restaurant is very basic, with a decent amount of tables and I enjoyed the laminated historic photo that was on our table. looks at us recognizing that we are not locals and apparently all of them were. We wandered in and the place goes quiet and everyone. We discovered that there is only one open restaurant in Cobalt, and this was it. We arrived in Cobalt on a Wednesday at lunch time in late August in search of a place to eat.
